PILATES FOR EVERYBODY

Pilates has a reputation for being not only a great workout to develop strong and lean muscles around the well defined core, but for being therapeutic and a great exercise regimen for those individuals who deal with chronic conditions, arthritis, spinal injuries and ailments.

I started doing pilates 3 years ago in hopes that I would finally have control of my body. In 2001 I had scoliosis surgery which was life changing for the better but it obviously came with some long-term severe aches and pains. I am a mother of two 2 beautiful children (currently 8 and 6 yo) which I delivered naturally, but left me with severe diastasis recti and more pain and discomfort. In order to continue to be an active mom, that was also a good role model of discipline and health, I needed to do something. Nirit was one of my first trainers. She is truly an expert! She was always ensuring we understood the importance of movements and where it was benefiting us physically. Nirit made sure I was always comfortable but more importantly that I was doing the movements correctly!!! Her attention to my positions, footwork, and movements were key in my journey to renewed strength from head to toes.
